Imagine Grinnell works closely with other community organizations to enhance the recreational opportunities available to area residents.

  • We continue to work towards expansion of the Grinnell Area Recreation Trail. We work closely with the city on trail expansion planning, and lead grant writing and private fundraising for trail development.
  • Expansion of the trails throughout the Arbor Lake Recreation Area is also among our goals.
  • We are leading the effort, on behalf of the City, for development of natural play area in Jaycees Park.
  • From May through September, we organize monthly races on the GART each Second Saturday.

Arbor Lake

Arbor Lake Recreational Area Arbor Lake Park is a recreational area on the southwest side of Grinnell. The 81 acre park includes a small lake, a restored prairie area, and many acres of woodland. The Grinnell Skate & BMX Project
